Corey Smith

Corey Smith is an Idaho attorney with a background in accounting, taxation, business planning, and trust administration. Prior to coming to Lake City Law Firm, Corey was the with Kootenai Law Group,  as well as Vice President of Trust and Investment Administration at Idaho Trust Bank, in charge of overseeing the administration of all types of trusts. Before that, his background in taxation ranged from working in the Office of the Idaho Attorney General assigned to the Tax Commission, focusing on state income tax issues such as nexus and apportionment, to time spent in public accounting specializing in the audit and taxation of individuals, businesses, and trusts.

After receiving a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance from Boise State University, Corey earned both a Juris Doctor from the University of Idaho, School of Law and a Master of Science in Accountancy, Taxation from Boise State University.

Corey’s education and professional experiences, along with his passion for tax planning, afford him the opportunity to bring a unique perspective to your situation. Born and raised in Idaho, Corey enjoys camping, boating, skiing, and coaching youth baseball with his son Jackson.
